County Grants

Our grant programmes are designed to empower and enable organisations to provide a range of support for communities throughout the UK.

During your grant, if you have any questions, need to tell us about any changes to your project, or difficulties your organisation may be experiencing, please contact Jo Marren-King in our Operations Team by requesting a call back. Please quote your grant reference number in any correspondence.

We appreciate that things do not always go to plan, so would encourage you to contact us as soon as possible if any problems or unexpected challenges arise. Changes to your project or the focus of the work we have agreed to fund must be discussed and agreed with us in advance.

Progress reports and accounts

There are different reporting requirements for County Grants, depending whether your organisation receives a one year grant, or a grant covering more than one year.

  • Multi-Year grants
If your organisation receives funding for more than one year you will need to complete and send us a Progress Report Form each year, together with a copy of your organisation’s most recent audited or independently inspected accounts. Progress reports are due six months after a payment is made. If your progress report and accounts are late this may delay payment of the next instalment of your grant.
The Progress Report Form for this programme can be downloaded on the right hand side of this page.
  • One-Year grants
You do not need to submit a progress report or accounts if your organisation receives a one year grant. However, we may contact you towards the end of a grant for confirmation that the grant has been spent in accordance with the original application relating to the grant.

Important information if you wish to apply again

Organisations applying for another County Grant within 18 months of the end of a previous grant must complete the ‘Previous Funding’ section towards the end of the application form. This applies to all applications, regardless of the length of the funding requested or whether the new application is for the same or different work.

Acknowledging our grant

If you receive a grant from us, you do not have to formally acknowledge our support in publications or on your website, unless this is a special condition of your grant.

You must, however, ensure that our grant is appropriately acknowledged in your accounts.
