Important Update – Changes to the County Grant Programme

Please note: The funds for East Sussex, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Suffolk, Surrey and West Sussex are now closed and will not re-open. Please visit this notice for more information about changes to the County Grants Programme.

Our grant programmes are designed to empower and enable organisations to provide a range of support for communities throughout the UK.

During your grant, if you have any questions, need to tell us about any changes to your project, or difficulties your organisation may be experiencing, please contact Jo Marren-King in our Grant Operations Team. Please quote your grant reference number in any correspondence.

We appreciate that things do not always go to plan, so would encourage you to contact us as soon as possible if any problems or unexpected challenges arise. Changes to your project or the focus of the work we have agreed to fund must be discussed and agreed with us in advance.

Progress reports and accounts

There are different reporting requirements for County Grants, depending whether your organisation receives a one year grant, or a grant covering more than one year.

  • Multi-Year grants
If your organisation receives funding for more than one year you will need to complete and submit a Progress Report each year, together with a copy of your organisation’s most recent audited or independently inspected accounts.
  • One-Year grants
You do not need to submit a progress report or accounts if your organisation receives a one year grant. However, we may contact you towards the end of a grant for confirmation that the grant has been spent in accordance with the original application relating to the grant.

If you would like to see the key questions we will be asking in your progress report before you have access to it, they can be accessed from the download section on this webpage. If your progress report and accounts are late this may delay payment of the next instalment of your grant.

Important information if you wish to apply again

This applies to all applications, regardless of the length of the funding requested or whether the new application is for the same or different work.
